Introductory

    I started working on this novel sometime in April 2011. This particular book really excited me more than any other story I've ever written. This genre of writing is new for me, I would have never thought about writing a futuristic book that deals with galaxies, aliens, planets, star ships, etc.... But as the idea took root in my mind and began to germinate, more and more thoughts and ideas about the plot and characters intrigued me so that I just had to write this type of book.
Remember When: Octavia's Memoirs is set in 2501 in a complete 'sci-fi' universe. There is planet Earth of course, among hundreds of other planets with various creatures native to each peculiar planet.
    The main characters are Octavia and Zario, a young married couple from the planet of Zoar, the sun planet. When the entire Universe erupts into war, planet against planet, Zario is called into duty by the Uni-fleet, a military force hailing from small colonies of each planet that promotes peace and harmony. Zario must leave his home planet, his family, and above all, his beloved Octavia to join the Uni-fleet to fight to restore peace among the planets. He doesn't know how long he will be gone or if he will ever even return at all.
     As weeks turn into months and months into years, Octavia corresponds with her husband Zario via a futuristic hand held device that transmits images and live view of each other. Calmly she waits, hoping that the war will end and that her dear Zario will be able to return home soon.
     The war will be a test to both Zario and Octavia's love and trust. Can Octavia hold onto the man she loves and the child that she carries within her? Will memories be enough to get Octavia through the long hard nights without her husband near her, being there with his family? Will Zario even survive the vicious war long enough to return home and be reunited with his wife and family? Or will a simple 'Remeber When' have to suffice an entire lifetime without one's true love?
